Our vacation packages offer your clients great value at competitive prices while offering you the opportunity to earn commissions. We offer more than 150,000 hotels in over 400 destinations around the world, plus add-ons like rental cars, transfers, sightseeing tours and other activities are available in most major destinations. In addition, all of our vacation elements are offered as components, so you can quickly and easily design a trip that suits your client's interests and their travel budget. Your client can also earn miles on most flights when booking a vacation package, so be sure and include their AAdvantage® numbers when booking.

*Note: Certain air fares are not eligible to earn AAdvantage miles. Complete AAdvantage Program Details can be found on AA.com.


On the itinerary page (after selecting a hotel room), you will see a recap of the booking as well as the commission earned. You'll also see a box labeled "Agent Markup" where you can enter the fee amount. You will receive the additional fee along with your commission check once travel commences.

AAVacations issues commission checks on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.


American Airlines Vacations offers special airfares that are only available when combined with our land components. These special fares are typically lower and more flexible than published fares generally available elsewhere and are also covered by the Cancellation and Change Waiver (Pre-Departure Protection), if you choose to include it with your sale.


We accept the following credit cards (either an agency's card or a client's card): American Express® Card, Discover®, MasterCard®,and VISA®. You may only use one credit card per booking. Two credit cards cannot be used in the same transaction.


At this time, we only accept credit cards with billing addresses within the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.


American Airlines Vacations is the only travel company that lets customers pay for hotels, rental cars, tours, airport transfers and more with AAdvantage miles. However, any payments made with AAdvantage miles must be made directly by the customer, either through AAVacations.com or by calling a consumer Reservations Specialist at 1-800-489-4810


All hotel properties listed on our site have been organized into five categories, or ratings, to help you select hotels best suited to your clients' needs.

5 star A renowned luxury hotel offering a high standard of accommodations, in-room amenities, facilities and service.

4 star An outstanding hotel offering a high degree of accommodations, in-room amenities, facilities and service.

3 star A hotel offering quality accommodations with a good selection of in-room amenities, facilities and service.

2 star A hotel providing good value with modest accommodations, adequate in-room amenities, facilities and service.

1 star A hotel offering basic budget accommodations that meet the needs of comfort while offering limited in-room amenities, facilities and service.

What does "Exclusive Deal" mean when it shows up in hotel search results?

If you see an "Exclusive Deal" icon on a hotel, that means you have found an exclusive low rate or special promotion--so, congratulations! Your great deal on a vacation just got even better.


You can cancel a reservation online, or by calling the American Airlines Vacations Travel Agent Support Center at 1-800-538-6228. Please note that cancellation penalties may apply.


Travel vouchers can be used toward American Airlines and American Eagle flight portions of your client's trip. To use travel vouchers, call the American Airlines Vacations Travel Agent Support Center at 1-800-538-6228 (travel vouchers cannot be applied online).

When a reservation is placed on hold without payment, the booking will be held through the remainder of the day booked, plus the next full day. Bookings on hold are canceled the following day just past midnight (12:01am CT) if no payment is received.
Example: Booking placed on hold (June 1st @ 4pm CT) | Booking remains active (June 2nd All Day) | If no payment is made, the booking is cancelled on the date reflected on their confirmation (June 3rd @ 12:01am CT)

Because of the complexity of reservations that involve visits to more than one destination, these types of bookings cannot be made online. For assistance with multiple-destination vacations, please call American Airlines Vacations at 1-800-538-6228 and one of our Travel Agent Support Specialists will be happy to assist.


We no longer produces printed brochures, but you can browse special offers in destinations around the world.

It means that you will now be able to print confirmations yourself that you may give to your clients immediately. You will no longer need to wait for documents to arrive from American Airlines Vacations; in fact, we will no longer mail your clients' documents to you. Your clients will just need to remember to take the documents you provide with them when they travel.

The only exceptions to the new voucherless system are WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Theme Park Tickets sold in packages that include off-site hotels. For these bookings, American Airlines Vacations will send theme park tickets via email, to be redeemed at the will-call desk at any Walt Disney World Theme Park.

Please note that WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort packages that include on-site hotels will be voucherless because your clients' Theme Park Tickets will be coded into the hotel room keys they will receive upon hotel check-in.

There is no charge when a travel agent calls to create a new booking by phone.
